Actress Amala Paul, who bought a Mercedes S class worth more than Rs 1 crore, has a Puducherry registration. The actress allegedly evaded the registration tax for Kerala and saved Rs 20 lakhs, reported The Times of India.
According to the report, the car was also registered in the name of an engineering student who has no clue about the registration. The rules specify that the registration should be under the name of a native of Puducherry. A vehicle whose ownership has not been transferred to the rightful owner is not allowed on the streets and the owner is liable to be punished.
Amala Paul has wrapped up the shoot of Thiruttu Payale 2 and she is currently filming for Cinderella and Kayamkulam Kochunni.
