Actress Amala Paul got formally engaged to director Vijay in Kerala today. A ring-exchange ceremony took place at St Jude’s Church in Choondy, with composer GV Prakash Kumar acting as the best man. Amala Paul wore a white off-shoulder Anita Dongre gown to the engagement and teamed it with a delicate diamond necklace, while Vijay looked dapper in a gray suit. Singer Saindhavi Prakash, actor Vikram, actress Anushka Shetty were all in attendance at the rain-drenched event. A star-studded Sangeeth ceremony has been scheduled for the evening, for which Amala will change into a stunning jewel bedecked outfit by Sabyasachi.
Director Priyadarshan, mentor to Vijay, will be an integral part of the proceedings. The family will soon move to Chennai for the wedding on June 12.
