Actress Amala Paul’s brother, Abijith Paul makes his debut in Devi(L) as the main antagonist. Tamannaah plays the lead role in this film. The film is directed by Paul’s husband, Vijay. Abijith has stated that Amala and brother-in-law Vijay have helped him a lot in preparing for the role, and during the shooting of the film.

Abijith, a naval officer by profession, readily agreed to act in the film when Vijay narrated the script of Devi(L) to him, says the press release.
Devi(L) is produced by Prabhu Deva, who is also playing the male lead of the film. Sonu Sood and Amy Jackson will also be seen as other integral characters in the film. The trilingual film is titled Abhinetri in Telugu and Hindi; it has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and Sajid-Wajid, cinematography by Manush Nandan and is edited by Antony.
