Ajith’s hit movie Amarkalam will be re-released next month. The gangster love saga was the backdrop for the real-life romance between its stars Ajith Kumar and Shalini, and is revered by diehard fans of the actor. Now, the producers are planning to release the movie again to coincide with Ajith Kumar’s birthday on May 1.
Amarkalam established Ajith Kumar as a leading star and gave his career a much needed boost. With superhit songs by Bharadwaj including the evergreen SPB song Satham Illadha Thanimai Ketten, the movie did very well at the box office.
