Amitabh Bachchan could be tapped to play a major role in Dhruva Natchathiram. The actor was a part of the film when it was announced with Suriya as the lead. After Suriya walked out of the project, the film languished.

The revived project, with Vikram as the male lead, was announced in 2016. Now, reports indicate that Gautham Menon would like to cast Amitabh Bachchan in the revived version.

A spokesperson for Gautham Menon said, “Sure, we would love to have Bachchan sir with us. But, its entirely dependent on his schedules and how that will work for us.”
Bachchan was supposed to play the Indian Prime Minister in the original film. It is expected that he will be offered the same role in the revived version.
