According to a TOI report, Siddiqui might appear in two avatars in the film – as a priest and as a policeman.
TE3N stars Bachchan, Siddiqui, and Vidya Balan. Director Sujay Ghosh is the creative producer. This is the second film with Ghosh, Vidya and Siddiqui on the same team, after Kahaani, one of the top grossing films in 2012.
In TE3N, Siddiqui reportedly plays a priest, Father Martin Das, who is dealing with a horrendous tragedy. Vidya plays Sarita Sarkar, a diligent cop, and Bachchan plays John Biswas, a grandfather in pursuit of justice for his slain granddaughter.
Bachchan’s role in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku, as a disgruntled but affectionate Bengali old man, had won him the National Award for the Best Actor in 2015.
Scripted by Suresh Nair and Bijesh Jayarajan, with dialogues by Ritesh Shah, TE3N is jointly produced by Endemol, Reliance Entertainment, Cinemaa, Kross Pictures and Blue Waters Motion Pictures.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Tushar Kanti Ray, and music director Clinton Cerejo. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 10, 2016.
