Amitash Pradhan, who played the snobby rich ‘Amul Baby’ in Velaiyilla Pattadhari last year, has his eyes set on Tollywood. He will be playing a supporting role in the Srinu Vaitla directorial My Name is Raju alongside Ram Charan. Apparently, Srinu Vaitla happened to watch Raghuvaran B.Tech (dubbed version of VIP) and was impressed with Amitash’s performance in it. He will be joining the sets of the film from June 18.
Interestingly, he does not play a negative role in the film, but a positive, integral character, with Kriti Kharbanda as his love interest. The actor seems to be intent on getting his Telugu lines perfectly. The movie reportedly will see Ram Charan playing dual roles and actress Nadiya will be seen essaying the role of Amitash’s mother.
Rakulpreet Singh plays the leading lady and Thaman composes the music for this film. Manoj Paramahansa will be wielding the camera.
