Geeta Kaur, the actor’s daughter, confirmed the news to Indian Express, and said, “He was suffering from liver cirrhosis from a long time, and was bedridden. That’s also why he was out of work. Some people from the industry had come for his funeral, but I don’t know who they were, I don’t even know their names. He was 76-year-old. We had lost our mother a long time back.”

Amrit Pal began his career in 1986, with Jaal. He played the villain in the film, which featured actors Rekha, Jeetendra, Mithun Chakraborthy, and others. Amrit went on to play notable negative roles in films like Pyaar Ke Do Pal, Kasam, and others, sharing screentime with the biggest names in Hindi film industry then.
