Amy Schumer had the perfect comeback for Rancic. The comedian said, “Vivienne Westwood, Tom Ford shoes, and an OB Tampon.”
Many took to Twitter to show their support for her brazen reply. Her attempt to break the periods taboo and eliminate the stigma around the subject was especially much applauded.

Amy Schumer was nominated for five Emmys this year. She is the creator, co-producer, co-writer and star of the sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, which debuted on Comedy Central in 2013. She also wrote and starred in the comedy film Trainwreck, receiving nominations for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical.
Meanwhile, in 2014 a campaign called #AskHerMore was started to inspire people to call out sexist reporting and suggest ways to re-focus on women’s achievements. The campaign has gained momentum in the last two years with many celebrities plain out refusing to participate in the sexist coverage. In 2012, a queer little device called the Mani-cam debuted the red carpet. Mani Cam’s sole purpose was to capture the celebrities hands parading their fingers down a mini-red carpet, the focus being on the shades of nail polish and jewelry. Many actresses like Jennifer Aniston and Julianne Moore simply refused to take part in it.
