Siddharth, through a tweet yesterday, speculated about him being part of a remake of Sriram Raghavan’s thriller Andhadhun. He put out a poll seeking the opinion of people asking if they wanted him to be a part of the movie.

The respondents were thrilled by the prospect of a possible sequel and Siddharth reprising Ayushman Khuranna’s role of the blind pianist from the original movie. Ramya Krishnan was the unanimous choice for Tabu’s role.

Andrea Jeremiah and Tamanna were the popular choices for Radhika Apte’s character while some opined that the actress should be retained for the remake as she had prior experience working in South Indian movies.

Others had crazier ideas. One person suggested a gender swap for the protagonists and even nominating Arvind Swamy as a potential replacement for Tabu.

Some others favoured Jyothika and Simran as the replacement for Tabu.

Probably because of his work in this year’s Ratchasan, some wanted Ghibran to score music for the movie.

Nalan Kumaraswamy was mentioned quite a few times as a potential director for the movie.

Andhadhun was directed by Sriram Raghavan, who has made dark thrillers like Johnny Gaddar, Badlapur and Ek Hasina Thi. Starring Ayushmann Khuranna, Tabu and Radhika Apte in the lead roles, Andhadhun, along with Badhaai Ho and Sthree are considered to be the sleeper hits of the year.

Inspired by the French short film L’Accordeur, the movie also starred yesteryear actor Anil Dhawan and went on to collect more than Rs.100 crores at the box office. Having received critical acclaim upon its release, the movie has been ranked as one of the best films of the year.
