Andrea Jeremiah Finishes The House Next Door Shoot; Talks about Taramani, and its Portrayal of Relationships

Andrea Jeremiah has wrapped up her portions for the provisionally titled The House Next Door, which also stars Siddharth. In a recent interview, the actress said that she was very happy with the final cuts. “It’s a horror movie directed by Milind Rau and I am very pleased with how the film has turned out. It’s got an international feel to it and also Siddharth is someone who has that aesthetics,” said Andrea. The film is expected to release in theatres in April 2017.

The trilingual is jointly produced by Sidharth’s home banner Etaki Entertainment and Viacom 18. Director Milind Rau is a former assistant of Mani Ratnam, and has helmed the Kadhal 2 Kalyanam, which is awaiting release. Rau was also the Executive Producer for Siddharth’s Jil Jung Juk, which released earlier this year.

Filming for The House Next Door began in August 2016. Andrea’s other current films include the long-delayed Vishwaroopam 2 and director Ram’s Taramani. Both films are awaiting for release.

Vishwaroopam 2 has been without a release date for the better part of two years. Taramani, on the other hand, is in the last stages of post-production and is expected to release by end-2016, around Christmas. Andrea plays an IT employee in the film. “Taramani has had a few production hassles but I am hoping it will release by the end of this year,” Andrea says. “It showcases a contemporary take on relationships. I personally know a lot of people who have been in such relationships.”

Andrea is also a part of Mamootty’s Thoppil Joppan, in which she plays a timid character called Annie. In Vetrimaaran’s ambitious Vada Chennai, she plays a slum-dweller. According to reports, her character is Vijay Sethupathy’s wife in the film.
