Angamaly Diaries will soon be remade in Telugu. Vishwak Sen will play the lead role in this as-yet-untitled adaptation. Sen is also a part of Vellipomakey, which is yet to release.
A director for the Telugu remake has not been named yet.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Vishwak said that the film’s plot was being altered in order to suit local sensibilities. “It will be completely rooted in Hyderabad, and will show the gangster culture of the city. It will be something new.”

Vanmaye Creations is bankrolling the remake. The producers are currently on the lookout for fresh faces who can act in the film; the team is holding auditions in Hyderabad.
Angamaly Diaries released earlier this year, and is a crime drama set in Angamaly, Kerala. The film, written by actor Chemban Vinod, follows Vincent Pepe, a young man whose main aim in life is to be a big don. Lijo Jose Pellissery directed the film, while Prashant Pillai provided the music.
