Anjaan will be the first big budget flick to release only on digital screens, the film’s producer UTV Motion Pictures’ G Dhananjayan announced the news on his social media page earlier today. The makers have also decided not to have physical prints of the movie. “We have shot the whole film in 6K resolution quality and we feel digital will showcase the film at its best. Also, we have given special codes to each print of Anjaan and it will allow us to keep a check on piracy in the future.”
Anjaan has Suriya essaying dual roles – that of Raju Bhai and Krishna. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is his love interest while Manoj Bajpai plays the baddie. N Lingusamy has directed this venture while Santhosh Sivan has handled the cinematography. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s stylish soundtrack for the film was launched last month and has earned mostly favourable reviews from the audience. This film will hit screens on Independence Day.
