Anson Paul will be part of director Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming Tamil film, reportedly starring Jyothika and Karthi in the lead. Anson was last seen as Oviya’s boyfriend in 90 ML. He worked with director Joseph in Oozham (2016), and has just completed shoot for his portions of The Gambler.
It has been reported that he plays the antagonist in the upcoming film. Speaking to Silverscreen, director Jeethu Joseph said, “Yes, he is a part of the project. We can’t reveal details about his character yet.”
The film is likely to being shoot by the last week of April. “Work on the script will be complete in a week or so. We are in the pre-production stage right now, and I’m on recce in Goa. The locations haven’t been finalised yet,” said the director. He also said Jyothika and Karthi’s participation cannot be confirmed.
Jeethu Joseph, known for films such as Drishyam, Memories, My Boss and more, directed Papanasam, a Tamil remake of Drishyam, in 2015. Kamal Haasan and Gautami reprised Mohanlal and Meena’s roles from the original. Ghibran composed music, and the film released to a good response in Tamil Nadu. Reports say that the director’s upcoming venture will also have an interesting script.

If Jyothika and Karthi are part of the project, the film will mark their first collaboration. Vaicom 18 will bankroll the film along with Jyothika’s brother Suraj. Karthi will being work on this film after completing his untitled film with Remo director Bakkiyaraj Kannan. Karthi recently completed work on the action-thriller Kaithi by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The first look poster of the film released earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Jyothika will next be seen as a school teacher in debut director S Raj’s upcoming film tentatively titled Ratchasi. A school set has been erected for the film in Chennai, where most of the shoot will take place. SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures are bankrolling the film. Jyothika is currently working on director Kalyaan’s film in which she shares with actor Revathy.
