Appatakkar, directed by Suraj, will be released on July 31. The film wrapped up production a couple of days ago, and the film’s publicist has confirmed the release date as well plans for an audio launch in the near future. An official announcement is expected shortly .

Shooting for Appatakkar began in July 2014. Actress Trisha, who is one of the female leads, completed her work in the movie in April this year. Post-production work is continuing at a swift pace, according to sources.
Appatakkar features Jayaram Ravi, Trisha, Anjali, and Soori in the lead roles while Prabhu, Vivek, Ashvin Raja, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, and Vidiyal Vinayagamoorthy play supporting roles. Actress Poorna has been roped in for a special performance as well. The film is produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers.
