AR Murugadoss To Script Trisha’s Next

Director AR Murugadoss has written the story and script for Trisha’s next with director Saravanan of Engeyum Epoodhm fame. Trisha, who is busy working on her film with Simran, recently signed up for this movie. Murugadoss has previously worked as the producer of Engeyum Epoodhm in 2011. He has also written the script of the Tamil version of Avengers: End Game, scheduled for release this month.

The spokesperson for the upcoming film told Silverscreen that the project is in its initial stages, “The film has just been okay-ed by Trisha ma’am, and production work will begin after script work and dates get finalised.” The film reportedly has Trisha playing the lead role, with no male lead starring opposite her. Lyca Productions are likely to be bankrolling the film. A report by Deccan Chronicle mentions that the movie is a thriller, with an interesting role for Trisha.

The actor is currently working on her much awaited action film co-starring Simran. They are reportedly undergoing marine training for the movie, which will see them playing sisters. The shooting will happen in Chennai, Kerala, Pichavaram, and Thailand. The film is directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan, and produced by All In Pictures. The action entertainer marks the third collaboration between Simran and Trisha, who played the role of a friend to Simran in the two-decade-old Jodi. They also featured in the Pongal release Petta.

Meanwhile, Trisha may be seen reprising Taapsee Pannu’s role in the Tamil remake of the recently released Badla. The film is likely to be directed by Radha Mohan. Trisha is also being considered for the remake of Andhadhun, with Ramya Krishnan in Tabu’s role, and Siddharth playing Ayushmaan’s character from the Hindi version. Trisha’s other projects include Garjanai, a film inspired by Anushka Sharma’s NH10. She stars in the lead with Amit Bhargav and Vamsi Krishna in supporting roles. She also has Sathuranga Vettai 2 and Paramapadham Vilayattu. The release dates for these films are yet to be known.
