In the recently released Forbes Celebrity 2014 list, AR Rahman is the highest ranking Tamil film celebrity, beating the likes of Vijay and Rajinikanth. Director AR Murugadoss is the second highest at 39 while his Kaththi hero Vijay comes in at number 41; Superstar Rajinikanth at 45 and Yennai Arindhaal star Ajith at 51. Actor Dhanush is the new entrant on the list, debuting with a number 78 position. Unlike the past few years, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan did not top the list this time, and was instead shoved to the 3rd position while Salman Khan moved to the top, in a coup of sorts.
