AR Rahman wants to re-arrange his song Urvasi for a performance. To this end, the music composer went on his official Facebook account to request fans to send him new lyrics for the track. Rahman also requested contributors to leave out the current burning issues of US presidential elections and Modi’s move to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes.
Rahman’s request was met with some humourous responses from his fans.
Urvasi is a track from Prabhu Deva’s Kadhalan. In 2014, American hip hop recording artist will.i.am and singer Cody Wise, re-created Urvasi Urvasi as It’s My Birthday. The song went on to top the UK Billboard.
