The title of actor Arulnithi‘s next film, his fourteenth, was revealed on Tuesday on the occasion of The actor’s birthday. Helmed by debutant director Innasi Pandiyan, the film is being bankrolled by S Kathiresan‘s Five Star Creations. Innasi Pandiyan is the writer and co-director of Ajay Gnanamuthu‘s Cobra. He has also worked with director Arivazhagan.
The blue-tinted title poster has Tamil written all over it and features a bus on a lonely road amidst a forest. The Diary Tamil font also has thumbprints on it.
Director-producer Vetrimaaran took to Facebook to release the poster. It is noteworthy that Kathiresan was the producer of Vetrimaaran’s first film Polladhavan (2007).
The film is touted to be an investigative thriller. Pavithra, a doctor from Singapore, plays the female lead, with Sha Ra, ‘Aadukalam’ Kishore, Chaams, VJ Thanikai, ‘Nakkalites’ Dhanam, and Jayaprakash in important roles. On the technical front, Aravinnd Singh is on camera, Ron Ethan Yohann is on music, SP Raja Sethupathi on the edit, Pradip Dinesh on the stunt, and Gnanakaravel on the lyrics.
A report on Times Of India has revealed that the story based on true incidents will see Arulnithi playing the role of a cop. It also added that the film has been shot in Chennai, Coimbatore, Coonoor, and Ooty.
The film had completed shooting before lockdown and is now in post-production.
Meanwhile, Arulnithi will also feature in debutant N Rajasekar’s Kalathil Sandhipom and popular ‘Eruma Saani’ YouTuber Vijay Kumar Rajendran’s feature directorial debut tentatively titled ‘Arulnithi 15’.
