After giving an impressive performance in Iravukku Aayiram Kangal, Arulnithi has been roped in for director Barath Neelakandan’s debut film, which will be backed by SP Cinemas.
The debutant director says that the film will be different from Arulnithi’s previous works. “I don’t want to use the term ‘different’… but I guarantee that this film will not be like the ones he was part of earlier,” he told The Times of India. He added that the female lead will have an equally important role.
The film has been tentatively titled as SP Cinemas Production No: 02 and the makers are planning to finish the film in a single schedule and will start shooting post July. Barath Neelakandan worked as an associate director with Arun Vaidhiyanathan in Nibunan.
In his career, Arulnithi has worked with six new directors and they’ve given him a name and commercial success. In an earlier interview with Silverscreen, he talked about working with new directors and said, “Let’s put it this way. We gel well together, and they are able to extract good work from me, because of how experienced directors have shaped me. I did not know anything about acting; Pandiraj taught me everything in Vamsam. They have all made me more receptive to the needs of a director.”
Meanwhile, Arulnithi is currently working for his next film Pugazhendhi Enum Naan.
