In yet another instance of actor turning producer, Velaikkaran star Sivakarthikeyan launched his production house yesterday. The first venture of Sivakarthikeyan Productions is Arunraja Kamaraj’s debut directorial, which is said to revolve around a girl who aspires to become a cricketer. The film stars Aishwarya Rajesh as the protagonist, with actor Sathyaraj in an important role.
RD Raja of 24 Frames, who had bankrolled Sivakarthikeyan’s latest release Velaikkaran, announced the project on Twitter:

A press note which was later released by Sivakarthikeyan’s PR, quotes the actor as saying: “The dreams and ambitions of the lead is the fulcrum of the movie [sic]. Sathyaraj sir plays the doting father while Aishwarya Rajesh plays the protagonist. Ilavarasu and Rama play supporting roles. There is another interesting role that needed a handsome talented youngster, and the search ended with Darshan.”
The as yet-untitled project, which went on floors yesterday, also stars actress Remya Nambeesan.
Arunraja Kamaraj is known for penning lyrics for the song “Neruppu Da” for the Rajini-starrer Kabali. On the acting front, Arunraja has Natpunna Ennanu Theriyuma coming up in May, which will see him share screenspace with Kavin and Remya Nambeesan.
