The official Tamil remake of Mammootty-starrer Bhaskar The Rascal is releasing on March 29. The Tamil version titled Bhaskar Oru Rascal will see Arvind Swamy reprising the role of Bhaskar.

The movie will also star Amala Paul in the lead. Soori, Malayalam actor Siddique and Robo Shankar are in supporting roles. The original version was directed by Siddique, who is also directing this Tamil movie. Arvind Swami will play a business tycoon who’s a single parent.
Siddique who has the experience of working with Tamil and Kollywood actors, had previously made a few Tamil hits like Friends and Kaavalan. Both these movies are remakes of Malayalam movies.
Initially, Bhaskar Oru Rascal was supposed to release at the time of Pongal, but later the release date was shifted to March. Arvind Swamy is currently working in Mani Ratnam’s next movie Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
