Arya’s next film with director Naveen Ragavan, titled Kadamban will have a climax action sequence shot in Thailand. In this scene, Arya will be seen with 50 Asian elephants. Though the schedule starts only on July 1, Arya is leaving earlier to Chiang Mai to attend training sessions on handling the elephants. The actor will be trained by mahouts, who will be present during all ten days of the shooting schedule. Later, the remaining portions of the film will be shot at Talakona falls in Andhra Pradesh.

Catherine Tresa is the other lead in Kadamban. The film was earlier titled Thani Kaatu Raja and was supposed to be made with Vikram Prabhu, who opted out of the film due to other commitments. Kadamban is produced by R B Chowdary of Supergood Films.

Naveen Raghavan has previously directed the 2014 comedy-drama Manja Pai, starring Vemal, Rajkiran and Lakshmi Menon.
