Actor Atharvaa and director Kannan, a former assistant of Mani Ratnam, will join hands for a new film said to be an action entertainer. The director’s previous film Boomerang, starring Atharvaa, is currently awaiting release.
About approaching the actor for a second time, the director said, “Initially, I was reluctant to ask Atharvaa if he would like to work with me again, but he knocked off my doubts by giving an instant nod. Moreover, I was happy to hear him say that he loved my pattern of work, which brings up an additional responsibility to stride with the same efforts for this project too.”
According to DC, the project will feature Samuthirakani in a pivotal role. Samuthirakani and Atharvaa are working together for the first time. “Both Atharvaa and Kani have different dimensional roles and unique character arcs,” said the director. Comedian Satish is also a part of the cast.
Arjun Reddy fame Radhan, who composed the music for the director’s previous movie, has been hired as the music director. Prasanna Kumar is the cinematographer. The project will go on floors by the end of April.
