Pictures of Amitabh Bachchan rehearsing with Ayan, Alia and Ranbir have already flooded the social media. Writing about his experience on the sets of Brahmastra, the actor wrote on his blog: “The absolute joy of being in the company of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia as I begin my first day with these two impeccable artists for the new venture Brahmastra… The ease with which they work and rehearse and comply to the words and needs of the director is a learning for me .. I love both and I love the work that they keep putting out year after year .. Indian cinema is in very good hands .. and I can only wish it greater glory !

It is a bit awkward for me to be in the midst of this production where the average age on set is about 26  .. and I am the largest misfit at 76 .. I mean this is ridiculous .. 76 !!”

The film will also have Mouni Roy in a supporting role.

Meanwhile, the team has wrapped up the first schedule of the superhero film in Bulgaria. “It is set in India as it exists today but the name of the film is Brahmastra because the energy, wisdom and powers in the film come from ancient India. As far as costumes are concerned, there are some which may not be the way you would expect them to be,” Ayan said earlier.

Ranbir will reportedly train in Kalaripayattu, Varma Kalai and martial art form Huyen Langlon from Manipur for the action sequences. The first part of the trilogy is expected to release on August 15 2019.
