SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the sequel to the 2015 film, has topped Google’s search trends this year. According to a Hindustan Times report, the most searched query in 2017 was ‘Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?’ – the climax in the first film which was answered in the second film.
Incidentally, Baahubali 2 is also one of the most tweeted hashtags this year and the song ‘Saahore‘ is one of the most streamed song too.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion released in April this year, starring Prabhas, Ramya Krishnan, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nasser, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film was also the biggest box-office grosser with estimated earnings of over Rs 1,500 crores.
