SS Rajamouli’s epic saga, Baahubali, has been in the news for over two years now. Dubbed as India’s Biggest Motion Picture, Baahubali is releasing on the 10th of July this year. At a recent press conference, the movie team revealed some interesting details about the film.
SS Rajamouli said that his stories are greatly inspired by Amar Chitra Katha, and that Baahubali is a revenge saga and a ‘battle of emotions’. The movie will see Tollywood hunks Prabhas and Rana Daggubati play brothers, Baahubali and Bhallaladeva (Palvaalthevan in Tamil) respectively. The trailer of the film created a frenzy on social media and among fans, and there has been unanimous appreciation on the grandeur and production value of the film.
The movie will release in two parts, with the first part having a run-time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The production of the second part is almost 40 per cent complete, said Rajamouli. With music by MM Keeravani, the film has an ensemble cast that includes Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Sudeep, Nassar, Ramya Krishnan in integral roles. The cinematography is helmed by KK Senthil Kumar, Art direction is by Sabu Cyril while V Srinivas Mohan is the Visual Effects Supervisor.
