Anushka Shetty will join her Baahubali co-star Prabhas in the lead cast of the action film Saaho. While Katrina Kaif and Shraddha Kapoor were being considered for the role, the filmmakers have finalised on Anushka Shetty.

Saaho is a Telugu-Tamil-Hindi trilingual film, and is billed as a high-budget, stylish action film. Produced by UV Entertainment, the film will be directed by Sujeeth. “The scale on which it is being made, a major budget will be spent on some extravagant action scenes. Although it will be a commercial outing, we are attempting something new and I would like to keep that as a surprise element,” Sujeeth told IANS.
Silverscreen had earlier reported that Neil Nitin Mukesh would also join the cast of Saaho, and likely to play the antagonist. Other cast and crew details are being finalised and will be announced soon.
