Balaji Sakthivel & Vijay Milton Team Up Again After ‘Vazhakku En 18/9’

Filmmaker Balaji Sakthivel will reportedly collaborate with his Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (2012) cinematographer SD Vijay Milton once again, this time on a murder mystery. The film will have Sakthivel’s signature realistic portrayal of life on screen.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, he said, “The young brigade in the industry is extremely talented and I want to provide a platform to showcase it. That is the reason I prefer working with them. I have to update myself if I’m working with newer talents.”

This will be the third collaboration between Milton and Sakthivel, after Samurai (2002) and Kaadhal (2004). Sakthivel will be bankrolling this one too. “I asked him to work as a cinematographer only if he is comfortable — and he was gracious enough to agree. I don’t think there will be any creative differences between us as we are clear about our individual roles,” Sakthivel tells Deccan Chronicle.

Milton last worked as a director on Bharath’s film Kadagu. He is also a part of filmmaker Thamira’s Aan Devathai, which stars Samuthirakani, Ramya Pandia, Kasthuri, and Kavin. The film’s first look was shared recently:
