Director Koratala Siva is currently one of the most bankable names in the Telugu film industry. From his debut film Mirchi to his latest release Bharat Ane Nenu, he is known for his trademark style of combining commercial cinema with a social message.
And it is no surprise that Chiranjeevi has expressed interest in collaborating with the director.
Shares a source, “After Bharat Ane Nenu, there was no word on the director’s next film. He was undecided about the kind of film he wanted to do without compromising his success streak. Working with Chiranjeevi seemed to be an ideal choice since he also has a script to suit the star’s image. Talks are still on.”

Chiranjeevi is currently working on Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which is set to release in 2019. Sye Raa is a biopic on the famous freedom fighter from Kurnool. Apart from Chiranjeevi, the film has Amitabh Bachchan, Kiccha Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, Pragya Jaiswal and even Vijay Sethupathi.
Meanwhile, the actor-director duo will take time to finalize a story. “Koratala is even considering working on another project, but there’s no clarity on it yet,” adds the source.
If the project materialises, Ram Charan is likely to step in to turn as producer yet again for his father under his Konidela Productions, while Matinee Productions will co-produce the venture.
