Director Bhaskar, who rose to fame with the Telugu hit Bommarillu, has been roped in to direct the Telugu and Tamil remakes of Bangalore Days. The Vellore born director is very popular in the Telugu film industry but has not been able to replicate the success of his debut movie.

The all India remake rights of the film have been acquired by PVP Cinemas along with Telugu distributor and producer Dil Raju. Bhaskar will helm the Telugu and Tamil versions, which will be shot simultaneously. According to the film’s PR, the producers are currently in talks with three leading actors and an actress to play the lead roles.
The cast will be the same for both the Tamil and Telugu versions and stars with presence in both the industries are being considered. According to reports, Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is the frontrunner to play the female lead in the film, while actor Arya is one of the names being bandied about for one of the male lead characters.
