Bigg Boss’ Meera Mitun Opens Up About Her Kollywood Woes

Actress Meera Mitun Photoshoot Stills

Model turned actress Meera Mitun, who recently shot to fame with Bigg Boss 3 Tamil, has not been happy lately. The actress who was last seen in Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari has reportedly been left out of the Vijay Antony-Arun Vijay starrer Agni Siragugal.

Meera took to Twitter to share the news.

Director Naveen reportedly required someone fit and flexible to essay an important role in the film and approached Meera who agreed to the role a few days after she left the Bigg Boss house. This was also confirmed in a press statement. But, the latest is that she has been replaced by actress Akshara Hassan.

Actor Kamal Hassan unveiled the first look poster of Agni Siragugal on 1 November 2018 and Akshara Hassan is now all set to replace Meera. “Meera wasn’t informed about this and is appalled at how things have taken shape,” a source close to the actor told Silverscreen.

The actress faced a similar problem recently with Pandiraj’s Namma Veetu Pillai starring Sivakartikeyan and Aishwarya Rajesh. She worked on the film for ten days and was reportedly even part of a song that was ultimately cut out from the film. She was reportedly told that Sun Pictures (producer of Namma Veetu Pillai) was not willing to cast talent from Vijay TV. The actress believes that pressure from external parties might be the reason for this sudden backlash.

Meera had recently tweeted that she was being mentally harassed by people around her. She is currently in Bombay and has signed up for two Bollywood films. The ritual ceremony of one is reportedly set to be held today at the Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai with the shoot too beginning today.

The model made her acting debut with Sri Ganesh’s 8 Thottakkal and went on to feature in Vignesh Shivan’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Chandru KR’s Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari.
