Bollywood Remake Of ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ Titled ‘Kizie Aur Manny’

After a long wait, the Hindi adaptation of John Green’s young adult fiction The Fault in Our Stars has been titled: Kizie Aur Manny. The film will star Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi.

Rajput took to social media and posted the title poster on Instagram, which read “#KizieAurManny ❤

In the poster, where you see the couple sitting from behind them, Rajput is seen wearing a Rajinikath mask backwards, while they sit atop a bus.

Sanjana, who was previously seen in films such as RockstarHindi Medium, and Fukrey Returns will be playing the lead role for the first time.

As it was reported earlier, the film marks the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra, and will be produced by Fox Star Studios. The music will be composed by AR Rahman. The film is based on Greene’s bestselling novel and is about Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old cancer patient who meets and subsequently falls in love with Augustus Waters, another patient who has lost a leg to bone cancer at a support group.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the director said, on Sunday evening, that the first shot of the film will be taken with Sanjana, who will be playing Kizie, and her parents in their home.

Earlier, at the end of June, Rajput had shared a picture that featured Sanjana. It appears to have been taken on the sets of the film, and is captioned, “New Beginnings.” He tagged Mukesh Chhabra and Fox Stars in his post.
