Actress Catherine Tresa has joined the cast of Rana Daggubati’s bilingual film directed by Teja. The film already has Kajal Aggarwal as one of the female leads.
A source told Times of India “Yes, Catherine has been roped in for the film.Both she and Kajal will have equally important roles in the film. She will begin shooting for her portions soon.”
The first schedule of the film, reportedly titled Naane Raja Naane Mandhiri, has already been completed at locations in and around Karaikudi.
Catherine Tresa has two Tamil films Kadamban and Kathanayagan in different stages of production. The actress who started out in Malayalam and Kannada films made her Tamil debut in Pa Ranjith’s Madras.
Naane Raja Naane Mandiri, directed by Teja, is said to be a political drama. The second schedule is said to begin in Hyderabad from next week.
Rana Daggubati’s upcoming releases are all bilinguals. Ghazi, a submarine film has been made in Hindi and Telugu. Baahubali 2, Naane Raja Naane Mandhiri and Madai Thiranthu, a period film directed by Sathya Siva will be made in Tamil and Telugu.
