Actor Chandran of Kayal fame, who is currently working on Venkat Prabhu’s Party, has signed on his next film titled Daavu.
The film, bankrolled by Two Movie Buffs and directed by Rambala, has Reba Monica John, who was seen in Nivin Pauly’s Jacobinte Swargarajyam. Music director Santosh Dayanidhi has been roped in to score the music.

Talking about the film, Chandran tells Silverscreen, “This is a love story and there will be no logic, only fun in the film. I play a typical guy-next-door in the film who falls in love and the film revolves around their love story. We will start shooting from November 15 in Chennai.”
Daavu loosely translates into ‘dating a girl’. But does it have the guy stalking the girl typical for a Tamil rom-com? Chandran says, “We have consciously avoided stalking in our script.”
