Chennai International Film Festival In January

In the wake of the recent floods, the Chennai International Film Festival, which was scheduled to be held from December 10 to 17, has been postponed to January. The festival will begin on January 6 and go on till 13.

The main venue for the festival is Woodlands Theatre Complex. Other venues are Inox (2 screens), Casino, Russian Center of science & Culture, and RKV Studios, Vadapalani.

Around 183 films from 50 countries will be screened at the 13-year-old festival. This year, the festival will pay a tribute to the legendary filmmaker K. Balachander and renowned actor Manorama.
