According to a report, Sandhya has been rescued from the actor’s home. The Child Welfare Association based in Andhra Pradesh, filed a petition under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The actress and her brother Gopalakrishnan might be arrested for the case.

Earlier last week, Sandhya’s mother Prabhavathi filed the complaint against Bhanupriya at the Samalkota police, East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. The complaint was lodged after she was unable to get in touch with her daughter.

She said that Bhanupriya employed Sandhya 16 months back, and brought her to Chennai. She promised Prabhavathi that Sandhya will be paid a salary of Rs 10,000 per month. According to Prabhavathi, Bhanupriya hasn’t paid even a month’s salary so far, and hasn’t allowed her to talk to her daughter in a long time.

Prabhavathi recently arrived in Chennai to see her daughter, but was held back by the security at Bhanupriya’s house. Reports also say that Prabhavathi suspects that her daughter is a victim of sexual abuse perpetrated by Bhanupriya’s brother Gopalakrishnan and another relative, and that Prabhavathi is being threatened by Bhanupriya’s family.

Meanwhile, the actress met the press recently and denied all allegations. She said that Sandhya was a 17-year-old, and not 14, and had stolen things worth Rs 1.5 lakh from their house. When asked to return them, she allegedly told Prabhavathi that she was being harassed and made her file a false complaint.
