Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin is under fire for allegedly ‘insulting’ India’s National Flag. The Nationalist Congress Party, which had been protesting against the Global Citizen concert, has criticised Martin for ‘tucking the National Flag into his pocket’.
Nawab Malik of the NCP tweeted a photo of Martin earlier this week, and slammed the singer for his behaviour:

In the days leading upto the concert, several parties protested against the concert. A petition to impose a stay order on the concert was filed by activists in Mumbai on the grounds that it had been given exemption from entertainment tax. The Bombay HC refused to stay the concert.
