While their date had started off okay, the two soon moved to his apartment where he was quick enough to start initiating sex. The victim further spoke of how she didn’t want to engage in intercourse with him, and politely started refusing him, which he soon agreed but would continue prodding her to do so.

“I wasn’t really even thinking of that (sex), I didn’t want to be engaged in that with him. But he kept asking, so I said, ‘Next time.’ And he goes, ‘Oh, you mean second date?’ and I go, ‘Oh, yeah, sure,’ and he goes, ‘Well, if I poured you another glass of wine now, would it count as our second date?’” He then poured her a glass and handed it to her. She excused herself to the bathroom soon after.

While Ansari hasn’t responded yet, there has been a higher number of people outraging over Ansari’s misconduct on social media.

The accusations against actor comes as no surprise considering several big names in Hollywood, ever since the Harvey Weinstein scandal, have been called out for their sexual misconducts in the past. Actor James Franco, who recently won the Golden Globe for The Disaster Artist in addition to wearing the Time’s Up pin on his suit to show his support towards women who have endured sexual harassment, has been accused of sexually harassing five women.

The Harvey Weinstein scandal had top Hollywood A-listers including Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd, and Salma Hayek recount the top producer’s predatory behaviour. This resulted in a domino effect, with several women coming out against Hollywood people who have engaged in such behaviour, even resulting in the #MeToo campaign.
