Neha Gnanavel, wife of Tamil producer KE Gnanavel Raja and also a costume designer for his films, took to Twitter on Tuesday to slam actresses for being “home wreckers”. She also threatened to expose a list of heroines who are “bed ready”.
While her tweets have been deleted, several organisations and users shared screenshots of them. Alluding to the ‘adjustment’ culture in cinema – the casting couch – Neha’s tweets blamed women for their choices and being an active participant in such cases of harassment. “No man is a child,” she posted, but went on to make unseemly remarks targeting actresses, wholly blaming them for “ruining happy families”.
When several users tweeted to her to ask if she and her producer husband were having troubles, Neha later put out a statement that her tweets had nothing to do with her husband nor was she doing all of this for attention. She also slammed those equating her to the infamous Suchi Leaks from last year.
“It’s my encounters and many incidents of people around us, of how these bitches constantly follow and chase married mens life…if a woman wants to talk boldly about it but people naming it at as leaks?!! [sic]

Thus far, Gnanavel Raja has not commented on these statements.
