David Fincher May Direct The Sequel To ‘World War Z’

Filmmaker David Fincher may handle the direction of the sequel to the 2013 zombie thriller, World War Z. A report in Variety states that production houses Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are looking forward to getting the director on board, along with the lead actor, Brad Pitt, for the sequel.

The report further mentions Brad Pitt’s personal interest in getting the Gone Girl director on board for the project. However, the proposal has hit an indefinite delay due to the actor’s divorce battle with his ex-wife and actress, Angeline Jolie. The production house had put the project on the back-burner, and it was recently revived by the studio’s new chairman and CEO, Jim Gianopulos.
