Deepika Padukone revealed that she considers Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Dhanush and Soundarya R Ashwin her extended family. The actress, who was in Chennai to promote Happy New Year, told an English daily that she makes efforts to stay in touch with Rajinikanth’s family. “Whenever Aishwarya or Soundarya come to Mumbai, they call me. We hang out together. When I come to Chennai, they send me home food.”
Although Deepika Padukone made her debut in Tamil cinema with Kochadaiiyaan, she hasn’t signed any other Tamil project. Talking about her desire to work with Mani Ratnam, she said, “I once got an offer to star in his film. Unfortunately, that didn’t materialise.”
