Veteran Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh, last seen in Papanasam and Pasanga 2 last year, will be seen in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Kaatru Veliyidai.
The actor shooting for a few initial scenes in the film in Ooty. According to sources, the location of the shoot was changed from Kashmir to Ooty, recently. The actor’s role in the romantic-drama has not been revealed yet.
The film’s official poster and title, were launched earlier this week. The poster featuring lead actors Karthi Sivakumar and Aditi Rao Hydari, quashed all the previous rumours and fan-made posters that claimed that the film’s name was Kuruthi Pookkal. Radio Jockey (RJ) Balaji took to Twitter earlier this week, confirming his role in the film. Known for playing the lead actor’s best friend, many reports speculate that he might play Karthi’s best friend in the film as well. Shraddha Srinath, part of the Kannada horror film U-Turn, is also part of the cast.
While reports suggest that the initial filming has begun, Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari are yet to join the sets. Karthi is currently wrapping up the dubbing work for his upcoming film Kashmora, directed by Gokul of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara fame.
Kaatru Veliyidai is produced by Madras Talkies and Thenandal Films.
