Dhanush Goes To Kasimedu To Resume Shooting For Vada Chennai

Dhanush will resume shooting for Vetri Maaran’s Vada Chennai this week, after a gap of almost one year. The shoot officially began during June last year.

A source from the film’s unit told Silverscreen, “The shoot will commence on September 4 and continue for 25 days. The team has plans to shoot in the live locations of Kasimedu during this schedule. With this schedule, it is a wrap for Vada Chennai.”

The project took time as both Dhanush and Vetri Maaran were busy with other commitments. Earlier, Vetri Maaran had told Silverscreen that the film would take a long time to complete.

The film, reportedly a trilogy, chronicles 30 years of a gangster’s life, where Dhanush plays the gangster. Reports also indicate that Vetri Maaran plans to release the first part of the film this December.

Vada Chennai stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea as the female leads, with director Ameer having a cameo appearance and director Subramaniam Siva in a key role.

After Vada Chennai, Dhanush has Maari 2 and a film with Karthik’s Subbaraj in the pipeline.
