Actor Dhanush is in London shooting for his Hindi film Shamitabh. Directed by R Balki, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and marks the debut of Akhara Haasan. Unlike his first Hindi film Raanjhanaa, where Dhanush played a South Indian, in Shamitabh the script has not been moulded to accommodate his personality and diction. Sources from the film say that Amitabh Bachchan has been helping with his lines and pronunciation.
Dhanush’s own home production Velayilla Pattathari will release this month. The movie is his 25th, and the first look trailer has been widely appreciated. Dhanush has written all the songs in the movie, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander and co-stars Amala Paul. He also sings a song with the legendary S. Janaki.
