This news was reported by Tamil The Hindu. However, there is no confirmation regarding this by the actor or the team. Dhanush has previously acted in a dual role in RS Durai Senthilkumar’s Kodi.

Last week, it was announced that Ken Karunas has a crucial role in the film. He was earlier seen in Nedunchaalai and Azhagu Kutti Chellam. The popular Malayalam actress Manju Warrier plays the female lead in the film. It is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the producers of Dhanush’s VIP 2. Music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be revealed.

Asuran is an action drama adapted from a novel called Vekkai, written by author Poomani. The film went on floors recently, after the release of a poster with Dhanush and Manju Warrier in a retro look.

It is said that the makers are planning to complete shoot in a long, single schedule. The film is also reportedly a break from the Vada Chennai series, in which Dhanush plays an accidental gangster. Shoot for Vada Chennai 2 is expected to resume after the completion of Asuran.
