Actor Dhanush made a friendly call to actor STR after the Vaalu judgement, and subsequently tweeted to say that STR was in good spirits, and still positive about the movie’s release:

Yesterday, the Madras High Court issued an interim stay on the movie, further delaying its release. The movie, which was scheduled to release alongside Dhanush’s Maari, has been postponed over 15 times now. Fans had drawn comparisons between the two films, with several expressions of rivalry on social networking sites. However, both actors have taken explicit public steps to reiterate that they are close friends.
Reportedly, there are six pending cases against Vaalu. There will be another hearing at the Madras High Court today. Both STR and STR’s father TR had been confident of releasing the movie with Maari on July 17. Actor STR was absent at the press conference of SIIMA 2015.
