Dhanush’s Vada Chennai To Hit Screens This September

National Award winner Vetrimaaran’s ambitious film Vada Chennai is all set to hit screen this September. Actor Dhanush in his tweet mentioned that the first part of the film’s official trailer will be launched on 28th July.

Vada Chennai tips to be a trilogy for Vetrimaran and Dhanush, as they have worked together in Pollathavan and Aadukalam earlier.

As reported earlier, the film set in the 1980s North Madras, is being made into three parts, starring Dhanush in the lead. Samuthirakani, who has a crucial role in the film, shared a photo from the sets with co-stars and technicians working on the project. The film will focus on a gangster but will also delve into the lives of people living in a village in North Madras, covering over three decades of their lives.

According to a report in the Times Of India, the film tells the story of a national level carom player Anbu (Dhanush), who aspires to become a world champion. ‘Vada Chennai’ is reported to have a strong political angle.

The film is produced by Wunderbar Films. Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars Andrea Jeremiah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Karunas and Kishore among others. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

After Vada Chennai, Dhanush has Maari 2 and another one with Karthik Subbaraj.
