Dil Raju Edits Words From ‘Duvvada Jagganadham’ Song To Appease Brahmin Groups

Allu Arjun’s next movie, Duvvuda Jagannadham, found itself in trouble when a recently released song from the movie was found to contain ‘objectionable words’ as per certain Brahmin groups. According to a report, the producer of the movie, Dil Raju, has decided to remove the words to which the groups have taken offense.

The producer has stated that he makes “clean” films and will remove the words ‘namakam’ and ‘chamakam’ from the song. “There are a few Sanskrit words in the song.  However, the Brahmin association objected and I decided to remove them,” he said. 

Dronamraju Ravi Kumar, the President of All India Brahmins Federation, is said to have had “no other issues” with the song. 

The movie will see Pooja Hegde playing the female lead, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. Duvvada Jagannadham is directed by Harish Sankar and is expected to hit the screens soon.
