Actor Dileep’s next will a comedy entertainer, written by Udaykrishna, one of his favourite collaborators. The film will be directed by Ajay Vasudev of Rajadhi Raja fame. The report quoted Ajay as saying, “It is going to be a full on entertainer. As expected from a Dileep – Udaykrishna combo, it will be a laughter ride with a pinch of heroism from Dileepettan.”

Udaykrishna, with his former writing partner Sibi K Thomas, has written many hit films for Dileep. Their first collaboration was Udayapuram Sultan, a comedy that served a major role in vaulting Dileep to the top of the industry. They have worked together in films like CID Moosa, Kochi Rajavu and Maya Mohini. Sibi and Udaykrishna, who were known for their knack for writing commercial potboilers, split ways in 2015. Udaykrishna’s debut film as an independent scriptwriter is Puli Murugan, starring Mohanlal, which will release later this year.
Dileep’s Onam release, Welcome To Central Jail, saw a moderate run in theatres. Currently, he is working in Georgettan’s Pooram, directed by Biju Arookutty, and Kammara Sambhavam, directed by Rathish Ambatt and written by actor-writer Murali Gopi.
